Bristol Brewing Company announces 16th Annual Firkin’s Get-Together on March 19

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. — Bristol Brewing Company (1604 S Cascade Ave, Colorado Springs, CO 80905) proudly presents the 16th Annual Firkin’ Get-Together, a celebration of draft beer to benefit the Colorado Brewers Guild, Saturday, March 19 from 1-5 p.m. . Craft breweries from across the state. will share their cask-conditioned beers.

“Bristol originally started this festival with the Guild because I’ve always loved the art and history of classic English cask-conditioned ales,” said Mike Bristol, founder of Bristol Brewing. “And when you add the great creativity and variety that our Colorado breweries bring to these firkins, it makes for a truly unique and fun afternoon.”

Cask brewing is a traditional British brewing style that originated centuries ago, when publicans lived above their pubs and worked a lifetime tending to their ales. Cask ales are fermented, packaged and served in a firkin, a British keg the size of a quarter barrel and often resembling a mini keg.
