iPhone 14 Pro: Specs, Design, Features, Release Date, Price in India, and What We Know So Far

Shortly after the launch of the iPhone 13, the hype shifted to the iPhone 14. We’ve already seen a bunch of leaks around next-gen iPhones, even though we’re several months away from launch. Previously leaked renders foreshadowed a notch-free design, and now there’s another to support the leak. According to the report, we will see a perforated design on the iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Pro Max. The report adds that the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max will feature 6.06-inch and 6.7-inch displays, respectively.

Another report says Pro models will ditch the Lightning port and incorporate a Type-C port. Along with that, Apple can get rid of the huge camera bump and include 48-megapixel main sensors. The brand is supposed to focus on the Pro models this year. So read on to find out everything we know about the iPhone 14 Pro so far.

iPhone 14 Pro: Specifications and Features

We got our first possible look at the iPhone 14 a week before the iPhone 13 launched in September. Since then there have been several leaks on the iPhone 14. While the iPhone 13 brought minor upgrades over the iPhone 12 series, with the iPhone 14 we could be in one of the larger iPhone upgrades, especially on Pro models.

In a more recent Elec leak, the display details of the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max have been revealed. According to the report, both smartphones will feature a punch-hole display. The report adds that the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max will sport 6.06-inch and 6.7-inch panels. These 120Hz refresh rate OLED panels that are said to be from LG will feature a perforated design, something never seen on an Apple phone.

There have been several leaks on the iPhone 14 since the design was first revealed by tipster Jon Prosser ahead of the iPhone 13’s launch. According to this, the smartphone will transition to a notch-less design. The renderings also suggest removing the notch, which a hole-punch camera could now replace.

–The iPhone 14 was seen in a design reminiscent of the iPhone 4 in Jon Prosser’s video. The device has flat sides with rounded volume and mute buttons. The sides are expected to be titanium while the rear will have a glass finish. The back panel should be completely flat with no camera bumps. Prosser says Apple will compensate for the camera bump by making the iPhone 14 thicker.

It is reported that Apple may remove the Lightning port on the upcoming iPhone 14. The Lightning port is likely to be replaced with a Type C port. The “idropnews” report suggested the feature be exclusive to Pro models. Rumor has it that iPhones will make this move, but it’s still not certain that we’ll see the change on next-gen iPhones.

The iPhone 14 Pro may also get a built-in fingerprint scanner. The feature was suggested for the iPhone 13, but it didn’t show up. It is therefore possible that the functionality will affect the iPhone 14. Apple has been relying on Face-ID technology since 2017, which can sometimes be inconsistent. Hence, the inclusion of this technology will be beneficial to improve the overall authentication system on iPhones.

IPhones get an improved chipset every year. So, it is easy to assume that we will also see a new chipset on the alleged iPhone 14. There are conflicting reports on the manufacturing process of the next generation chipset. Some reports claim that it will be based on a 4nm manufacturing process, while others mention a 3nm manufacturing process.

Reports have also emerged that TSMC is building a 4nm chipset for future iPhones. Shortly after, we learned that TSMC was having problems making small chips. Thus, it is possible that Apple will continue the manufacturing process in 5nm for future models.

The iPhone 13 Pro has set a new benchmark in smartphone photography and video. And Apple has even more ambitious plans for its next flagship products. A new report from Elec says the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max will get 48-megapixel front cameras with higher resolution. On top of that, Apple is also expected to upgrade the 12-megapixel primary lens to a 48-megapixel primary lens on the iPhone 14 Pro. This sensor may be able to record 8K videos.

It is too early to confirm any of these details, so we suggest you take the information provided above with a grain of salt.

IPhone 14 Pro launched

Apple has been very consistent with the iPhone launches. The latest iPhone 13 launched on September 14 of this year, around its usual launch schedule. So, we can expect to see the iPhone 14 Pro along with other models around this time next year.

IPhone 14 India Price (Expected)

At the moment, there is no information on the price of the iPhone 14 Pro. But we assume that the price will remain static for the upcoming model.
