Ellen G. Cooper recently assumed the role of President and CEO of Radnor-based Lincoln Financial Group and became a member of the board of directors of Lincoln National Corp.
Cooper previously served a decade in other senior roles, serving as executive vice president, chief investment officer and head of the Enterprise Risk and Annuity Solutions group. She was also a board member of the Lincoln Financial Foundation. In August, she was named CEO-Elect.
Cooper becomes the company’s 10th President and CEO and is the first woman to hold the position.

Dennis R. Glass served as President and CEO for 15 years. He becomes chairman of the board of directors.
Lincoln Financial Group had $308 billion in account value at period end March 31.
