Medicine Hat Brewing Company recently announced a new program that will help raise awareness and raise funds for local charities.

The Medicine Hat Brewing Company! The program is an initiative launched this month. The program “is a new way to give back to our community,” MHBC explained in an email to News.

“This program is designed to help registered charities and organizations that need a little bit of support, awareness and additional funding.”

Each month, the business will choose a charity or registered organization.

“We’re starting, we’re making the announcement today or tomorrow of the first charity we’re going with,” said Kaiden Vancuren, one of MHBC’s co-owners and managing director of the brewery. “We’re starting this month and we’re going to do the full 12 months. I guess we will do it year after year!

Vancuren said stay tuned to Medicine Hat Brewing Company social media for the announcement to find out which charity they will support first and in the months to come.

Funds will be raised for the chosen charity in a number of ways, including a donation box at their location.

“We’re going to pick a different new food each month and then allocate a certain percentage of sales for that food for the whole month,” Vancuren explained. “We make a keg, it’s a 40-liter keg of specialty beer that we make. We do this on the third Friday of each month. 100% of the proceeds from the keg will also go to the charity. ”

The keg party in January for the selected charity will take place on Friday January 21.

Vancuren said community support is part of what inspired the program to launch.

“We just celebrated our fifth anniversary on December 10 of last year, and it always amazes us how much the community supports us and we continue to grow year after year. We’re definitely further ahead than we thought at five, and we definitely attribute that to the city and the support it has given us, ”said Vancuren. “We thought and thought about the best way to spend our time and money and give back to the city and we came up with this program. We think it’s going to be awesome. We have already received a lot of support on social media, so we hope that this continues to grow. ”
